Grand Hyatt Jakarta - Review

Grand Hyatt Jakarta is one of the top ten hotel in Jakarta. It is located in Central Jakarta next to Plaza Indonesia. The hotel itself directly connects to the Plaza Indonesia make it easier for the guests to do shopping. In front of the hotel, you can visit another popular shopping mall, Grand Indonesia which is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The main road in front of the hotel are roundabout of 5 intersections. In the middle of the roundabout is a beautiful fountain and Selamat Datang Monument. This called as Bundaran HI.

I stayed here for 3 nights back in December 2015. I took a silver bird taxi from the airport to the hotel. There is car check to enter the premises and also, carry-on check like in the airport for all the guests entering the hotel. As I arrived, the concierge service was amazing. They opened the taxi's door, hotel's door, and took care of our luggage. As I enter the hotel, the view of the inside was amazing in term of the design. The lobby located in 2nd floor from the main entrance via escalator.

I headed to check-in and the receptionist told me that the club lounge level receptionist will check me in. She showed me the elevator that took me to the club lounge level for check-in. As I arrived, there are two office type tables where the guests can sit down while check-in. Mayang Pratiwi, Grand Club Manager was the one who checked me in. She was very nice and let me know that I was upgraded to a suite room with an extra bed and a Bundaran HI viewas I requested. I would like to thank you the General Manager, Mr. Fredrik Harfors and Agnes Fericia, Executive Secretary for the upgrade and response to my request.

The suite room was huge and one of the best hotel I had ever stayed at. The room has a living room, dining room, one and half bath room, walking closet, and bed room. There was also a welcoming note and gift from the hotel. The peanuts was very delicious and my mom loved it very much.

The living and dining room is very nice with lots of Indonesian arts around it.

The bedroom, the walking closet, and the bathroom was amazing. I loved the bathroom the most, the rain shower and the bath tub.

The view from the room was also amazing.

As I was busy hanging out with friends, I did not have time to spend in the swimming pool or the grand club. The breakfast was amazing with food variety from Indonesian, Asian, and Western food.

Intercontinental Paris Le Grand - Review

Intercontinental Paris Le Grand is located in the middle of the major attractions in Paris such as the Palais Garnier, Galleries Lafayette, and Place Vendome. It is very close to other attractions like Musee du Louvre. The hotel building is historic and inside the hotel are huge and lots of rooms.

I stayed here the last day of my vacation in Paris. During my stay, it was very busy due to the Climate Change COP21 conference and all the rooms were sold out. I guess I was lucky to book it early. The classic room in this hotel is amazing with a patio, huge bath room, walking closet, and nice king bed.  The receptionist who served me, Eve, at the check-in was not welcoming at all even though I am a Platinum member of IHG. As I checked-in, she just asked me to fill the paper and give me the key, no welcome to our hotel words or recognition of Platinum member like I got when I visited Crowne Plaza Hotel in Amsterdam. However, the check-out lady, Barbara was nice. The room service was amazing. There was someone who check the mini bar later in the afternoon and took care of the bathroom rugs for me. I went back at night and the bathroom rugs had already on the floor. I would rate my overall experience as 4/5. Overall, I would recommend people to stay in the hotel.
